Youth

MTX Youth

This group exists to help teens connect, grow & serve God’s purposes with their lives. This is facilitated through two ongoing venues and many special activities and events. There are also opportunities for one to one and small group discipleship.

Concerts & Worship Venues

We participate in several special events throughout the year.  Check with Brandon on the latest opportunities to be encouraged in your faith through these events.

Mexico Missions Trips

Through our partnership with Turn the Hearts ministry in Mexico that is assisting orphanages, our teens and parents have the opportunity for a cross-cultural mission experience and team building.  We make 3 to 4 trips per year where we visit orphanages and pass out gifts in Christ’s name to the less fortunate. **Our next trip will be Mid April 2018!**  This trip will be offered to youth and adults.

Youth Camps and Leadership Conferences

Lead The Cause in July was an intense opportunity for training in Colorado.   Dare 2 Share is bringing LTC to Southern California this year!!  Join us at Vanguard University July 30th-August 4th for LTC 2018! Planet Wisdom is another annual event usually held in April.  All youth students from grades 7-12 are welcomed to this event.

Service Projects

Every month there are opportunities for teens and adults to get involved in hands-on projects that serve practical needs of people in and beyond our community.  We also participate in the annual Compton Initiative where we join 1700+ people completing service projects at many schools, churches, and homes in the city of Compton.

Fun Outings

Which may include beach trips, movie nights, involvement in our annual men’s and women’s retreats and other activities.  We have done things like sharing the Gospel at the Mission Inn and helping lead a Christmas program with Ron Cruz @servantsheartforthehomeless at an assisted living center in San Bernardino.  Spring in to ACTION is our Spring Break trip where we serve in San Bernardino by visiting hospitals, elderly homes, an elementary school, work with a youth football team and much more.  Curious what it was like?  Check out the crazy and awesome pictures in the lodge.

Fundraising Events

Which may include a youth talent night, car washes and other activities intended to help defray the expense of some of the other ministries and activities of the teens.  This last year, students raised hundreds of dollars at a parking lot sale and work-for-hire events!
