Dan's Den

Authentic Relationships, making room for real connection. Part 3 of the mini-series, "Margins".

Dear Church Family and Friends,

As the pace of life picks up, one of the first things to get edged out is our significant relationships. This can mean that our children get less of our attention, our friendships suffer, and we feel too busy to engage the person with a need right in front of us. Some can handle pressure, stay present, and maintain important relationships. However, many of us, when we get busy, struggle with the priority of staying connected with others around us.

Jesus and the Apostles modeled for us the importance of making the most of our relational opportunities. The gospel moves along the lines of relationships. When we recognize that God is using our connections with people to further His purposes, it helps us choose to slow the pace and interact with people along the way.

This Sunday, be inspired to see God at work in and around your life and in the interactions you have with others. May you be encouraged to slow down enough to make the most of your important relationship opportunities and to initiate with others outside the realm of your busyness.

Love and prayers,

Pastor Dan
