The Good News!
Dear Church Family and Friends,
What a relief to hear some good news! Maybe it is the report of someone sharing that their health issue has been resolved. Maybe it is the report of a child that was lost being found. Or, it might even be news that two groups of people at war with each other having come to terms of peace! In any case good news is welcome and can bring relief, comfort and joy when it is received.
The proclamation of God's deliverance and rescue of His people is the ultimate good news! God promised a "New Day", a new and hopeful era for his people in the past. The ultimate rescue would come through Jesus Christ 700 years later. But that glimpse into what was coming brought comfort, relief and joy to all who were waiting for the LORD to do what only He could do.
This Sunday, be sustained, strengthened and inspired to trust in God's good news! This proclamation brought hope then and it will inspire joy for those who trust in Jesus today!
