Family Purpose

Dear Church Family and Friends,  

A simple brochure about our purpose in life asks a straightforward question: "Why am I here?" If we are unable to answer that question, we should pause what we are doing and get back in touch with our purpose. God has revealed his purpose for creating us - that we might please Him and that he might delight in a loving trust relationship with people restored to him through faith in Jesus Christ.

In that purpose of pleasing God, we are to reflect his love and purpose in our relationships with each other and to all of creation. The Church, the bride of Christ, and each local family of believers are to live in God's kind of love. There are many specific ways to demonstrate that love and to fulfill our purpose.  

May this Sunday bring greater clarity to why we are here as a local Church, and how each of us can live with greater attentiveness and intentionality in that purpose.  May God be pleased with what he accomplishes in and through us this year.
