DE-TOX: Investing Yourself and Valuing Perseverance
Dear Church Family and Friends,
When a soldier enlists, they voluntarily commit themselves to a way of investing their life that protects others. When an employee accepts the opportunity to serve in a trade or business, they voluntarily commit themselves to a role and course of action that benefits their company and clients. When a person believes in Jesus Christ, they also voluntarily accept his call to serve his purpose in this world.
Jesus calls, gifts and equips people to do their part in God's work and sustains them through unavoidable pressures and persecution. This has always been the pathway to God's kingdom progress - involving all his people in the sometimes difficult process of helping others find their way home.
This Sunday, be inspired to take your next steps in serving God's purposes. May you be encouraged to commit to a course of investing yourself and persevering for the sake of others.
