Failing Upwards
Dear Church Family and Friends,
80% of our New Year's resolutions will be given up by February! As we prepare for the new year let's resolve not to give up, even though we will fail often. Romans 3:10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God.
As a society we’re obsessed with winning, it so impacts our lives whether it’s sports, board games, driving, business, winning has influence in all areas of our lives with the exception and a blessed few.
Baseball is an example of failing upwards. Juan Soto just was awarded the largest contract in sports history because of his ability to hit a baseball. Under examination he failed over ⅔ of the time and was given a $765 million dollar contract, ¾ of a BILLION dollars. In baseball failure is a given but how you fail and how you respond to failure is what makes you great.
My goal and prayer for me and my family for 2025 and every year is to have a heart to know God and to seek His face all the days of our lives.
