DE-TOX: Being Teachable and Respecting Authority
Dear Church Family and Friends,
Why does one generation of people tend to not want to learn from another? Do the older feel threatened? Do the younger think they know everything? What is behind the unteachableness of people today? Is it irrelevance or disrespect? Both? Maybe it is arrogance and pride?
At the root of our bad attitudes toward correction, instruction, and authority are problems with our view of God, or lack thereof. When we see God for who He really is and begin to order our lives under his authority our attitude toward learning from other people can begin to change.
This Sunday, be inspired to see God over your relationships and using your interactions with others for your good. Whether you are young or old, a man or a woman, a learner or a leader, may you value being teachable and respecting authority God has established.
Love and prayers,
Pastor Dan
