Judgment and Future Glory
Dear Church Family and Friends,
At any point in your life journey has there been a time that felt like a golden age? Was there a season that just felt like everything was starting to come together? Such a time had just passed for the people in Judah and Jerusalem as Isaiah began to speak God's message to them regarding their future going forward. (Isaiah 3-4) In it, God revealed his judgment against the peoples' arrogance, and the judgment unfolding against their oppressive actions.
As dishonoring as that picture was, God promised that a faithful remnant would experience a cleansing and a blessing he was planning for their future. This message through Isaiah underscores that with God's people among fallen humanity the LORD brings both judgment and correction for wrongs and hope of a future restored with Him.
May the LORD use this message to adjust any arrogance and expose any oppression and faulty character among us. May we be a people ready for the return of Jesus Christ and our ultimate future with Him!
