HIKER'S GUIDE--GENEROSITY
Dear Church Family and Friends,
We live in a culture that is obsessed with itself. We are trained to focus on our next personal experience and the next desire we can attempt to satisfy. Happiness is marketed to us as the next car purchase, the next destination vacation, the next romantic gift and experience, the next tech device, the next home furnishing, the next meal and beverage, or the next game we can watch or play.
Jesus teaches us that it is more blessed to give than to receive. Getting outside ourselves through generosity and giving brings a blessing. He also teaches us that at no point does our life consist in the abundance of our possessions. What this life has to offer is temporary and fading. The life God offers is forever and fulfilling.
Join us this Sunday for an inspiring message to our hearts about generosity. May the Lord stir in us a desire to be satisfied in Him and in His way of generosity toward others.
