Bruce's Blessing
"The Parenting Journey" Part 2
Dear Church Family and Friends,
We are in week two of “The Parenting Journey” series, and this week we focus on a powerful word, KINDNESS. Healthy relationships have a better chance of thriving when they are laced with kindness. This is especially the case when raising children.
Biblical kindness is a “Fruit of the Spirit;” and like a muscle, it can be exercised and strengthened to improve our relationships with others. God is the perfect example of kindness. "But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy" (Titus 3:4-5).
However, it’s important to know that kindness is not the same as being “nice.” Nor does it mean the absence of correction. This Sunday, we will unpack the definition of kindness and provide simple ways to grow in loving our children and guiding them into their God-given destinies.
Love and prayers,
Pastor Bruce
