How to be Right with God, part 1 in the "Calibrated" mini message series.
Dear Church Family and Friends,
How do you respond when you find out that something you have thought was right, really wasn't? What stirs in you when you hear others making a case for something they claim is "right", but their facts and reasoning are faulty? How do you feel when your spouse questions the validity of your thoughts about something?
// I'll never forget the old train illustration. Truth is like the engine pulling everything else forward. Faith is like the coal car. If we trust in truth, we are fueling our progress. Feelings are like the caboose. If our faith is in the truth our feelings will follow. If we put our faith in our feelings, our lives will go nowhere. //
God has revealed how humanity can be restored to a right relationship with Him. He calls us to believe, to turn and trust in Jesus His Son. Through Jesus' work on the cross, we can be justified, and given standing in the family of God. Don't rely on your feelings with something as important as your eternal destiny. Put your trust in the truth that God has revealed about how to be right with him.
Come out and be recalibrated by that truth this Sunday!
