Keeping it Simple, Checking the Boxes, part 2.

Dear Church Family and Friends,  

Have you ever worked for an organization that had a specific system for how something had to be done? Have you ever noticed how a simple task can become so analyzed, defined and developed over time that it is no longer simple? Can restrictions and requirements become so involved that the intended goal of an activity gets lost?  

This was true of the religious approach to a relationship with God leading up to the times of Jesus. Religious rule keeping based on human tradition was actually getting in the way of real relationship with God and obedience to His commands. Jesus came and stripped away human traditions and expectations and turned the focus back to the Father's intention of loving him and others.  

This Sunday, we will be offering a refreshing, simple view of what it means to walk with God as an individual, and a family. We hope that this will strip away traditions and expectations that actually get in the way of a meaningful journey with Jesus for you and your family.
