A Lasting Romance, Sacred Romance pt3
Dear Church Family and Friends,
For decades, I have noticed how the emphasis on romance tends to be limited to the initial phase of a relationship. Think Hallmark movies and shows. How many of them are about the ongoing married, committed relationship between a man and woman? Right!? Few.
Most couples go toward marriage with aspirations for a shared life with their partner, not just the early romance to be repeated over and over. Love matures, life is shared, and a lasting story continues. God is interested in a forever romance, one that begins and continues. He wants a relationship restored with all of those who believe and receive Him. He wants that relationship to continue for all of the ages to come.
Be inspired this Sunday to continue working toward a lasting romance in your relationship with your spouse or spouse-to-be. All of us can walk away with help and encouragement to stay in the sacred romance with God and others.
