Calibrated, Part 4
Dear Church Family and Friends,
I moved up to the mountain in 2013 when Crestline wasn’t getting snow or rain for several years. I made the mistake in 2015 of designing a backyard suitable for minimal rain fall. What a shock it was when water from Crest Forest Dr came down one neighbor’s driveway, into another neighbor’s yard, and then into mine! The terraced yard with wall block became the source of several mini waterfalls. The backyard lacked the ability to handle that much runoff from other properties.
All of us have a worldview that helps us make sense of the world we live in, but not all worldviews are created equal. Much like my backyard, some worldviews are lacking. Atheism is a worldview obsessed with the scientific method, but important things in life such as meaning and purpose go far beyond the scope of the scientific method. So, we see that science is both wonderful and wonderfully limited.
See you Sunday as we take a deep dive into Romans 1 to become calibrated.
Love and prayers,
Brandon
