Pain is a Microphone, "Through the Eyes of a Lion", week 6.
Dear Church Family and Friends,
Here we are in week six of the “Through the Eyes of a Lion” church-wide series. This is the final week of the study, and the focus is on a powerful concept: “Pain is a Microphone.” The more it hurts, the louder you get. You see, suffering isn’t an obstacle to being used by God. It is an opportunity to be used like never before.
Over the past five weeks, we have learned about:
As we wrap up the series, it’s important for us to consider all that we have learned and now look forward into the future. The goal is to visualize how we can be used by God to be messengers of hope in a broken world. As followers of Christ, we have experienced adversity and hardship. Those incidents have shaped us, molded us and grown us. We now have a perspective on life that can serve others as they experience adversity and hardship themselves.
Hard times are a passport that gives you permission to go places you wouldn't get to any other way. Why? Because you have “been there, done that and wrote that book.” Let’s help others write their own personal books of hope and find a future of peace with the God of the universe despite this broken world.

Over the past five weeks, we have learned about:
- Turning off the Dark- We don't have to wait until we get to heaven to live in the light of God’s goodness. It’s available to us here and now through Jesus.
- The Invisible World- Faith is the telescope that allows us to see the spiritual realities at play all around us.
- Hurting with Hope- Hope is the confident expectation that God will do what He promised.
- The Hope of Heaven- Death isn’t the end of the story. We must fight to remember that the grave doesn't get the last word.
- Cue the Eagle- When our spiritual batteries are running low, all we have to do is wait on the Lord and ask Him for strength. God promises that help will flow in response to such a request.
