Keep Climbing
Dear Church Family and Friends,
Years ago, I heard a sermon that stuck with me called “Climbers, Campers, and Quitters”. After years of climbing, study, and experience, I’ve come to believe that there are no campers; there are only those who like to camp. My experience has taught me that when I stop climbing and try to camp, I slide down. When I stop climbing, I always digress.
Jesus had to do what we all have to do to grow physically and mentally. He had to help His dad in their wood-shop and study scripture then when given the opportunity sought out experienced teachers and scholars for greater understanding. Even the creator of the universe had to grow!
Jesus is our Lord, Savior, and champion, and if He had to climb, we all need to follow His example and continue to grow. Growth needs to be our resolution for life. May the message this Sunday is to encourage you to keep climbing!
